Woodruff was hired as the construction manager to complete demolition and renovation of the old Ramada Hotel in Waterloo. A large scope of the project was the replacements of all 232 windows on the entire building. The basement was completely demoed and reframed to create meeting room space. A new hospitality room and breakfast serving area were added to Level 1. Rooms on Levels 2-5 received new finishes and fixtures. Levels 6-10 were changed from single hotel rooms to two-room executive residency suites. Using a cost-plus approach allowed us to meet the client’s budget and schedule goals. We were able to start construction immediately and self-perform work to keep the project moving forward while staying within budget.
