Grinnell Public Safety

The City of Grinnell purchased an existing property to house its new police and fire station. The existing building was reused for the jail detention area and offices for all departments. An addition was constructed on the north side for the fire department. The project was heavy on security and control systems in addition to a geothermal heat loop system for all heating and cooling. The exterior facade included brick and stone at the new additions, while the existing building had multiple new windows added with new brick above and below.
