This state-of-the-art John Deere sales, service, and maintenance facility services a large part of central Iowa. It is primarily powered by on-site wind turbines, and the entire building has radiant in-floor heat. Of the facility’s 67,000 sf footprint, 20,000 sf is utilized for service, sales, and office space, while the remaining 47,000 sf makes up the maintenance shop where 15-20 mechanics work on equipment ranging from lawn mowers to combines. The building has 23 overhead doors, including a 60’ x 20’ hangar door to accomodate even the largest of farm equipment. Despite being constructed throughout one of the coldest winters in Iowa’s history, this unique facility was completed on schedule and continues to provide an accessible, durable, and aesthetically pleasing space to work and expand into new business ventures.
