The Signature Project Award recognizes a local downtown revitalization project whose impact and significance extends beyond the traditional Main Street Iowa award categories. The Rural Forge (Pillar Technology) project in Jefferson, Iowa brings together a creative, adaptive use of a downtown historic building, demonstrates innovative partnerships to develop a tech-focused effort in rural Iowa, and is creating a national model for future rural economic development.
