Woodruff Construction employee Kevin Larsen has been promoted to the leadership role of Northwest Region Vice President – Project Management, centered on its office location in Spencer. “Kevin truly exemplifies each and every one of our core values,” said Don Woodruff, President of Woodruff Construction. “Kevin doesn’t wait to ask to help out, he offers his assistance when needs arise. His dedication is significant and his drive to continuously learn and improve, impressive.”
Larsen has been with the company since 2002 when he started as a construction laborer, before ascending his way through roles such as crew lead, superintendent, field operations manager, and most recently, project manager.
“The new position of VP of Project Management in the Northwest Region is an opportunity for me to continue my growth in the company and to help our new region learn and apply the ideas and procedures of the ‘Woodruff Way,’” Larsen commented. “I am very excited for the chance to be part of another expansion of our great company. I have spent all 20 years with Woodruff working from the Fort Dodge office. I have worked in the Spencer Market on projects for our West office, but now to have a full-time presence in the area in really a dream come true.”
“Unlike the other regions that were started in the past by Woodruff, Spencer came with a great group of employees that made the transition when the assets of Midstates was purchased by Woodruff, it makes working between the 2 offices much easier,” Larsen continued. “Our goals are to continue to grow the NW Region by adding quality workers and leaders to our fold and doing our part to make Woodruff a successful company while using our company values to lead us.”
Larsen resides in Fonda, Iowa currently, and is looking forward to working in Spencer full-time. Outside of work, Larsen is the assistant girls’ varsity basketball coach at Newell-Fonda High School, and has coached each of his four daughters’ teams.
