On September 12th, the University of Northern Iowa held a soft opening for their new cafe area in Rod Library. Woodruff Construction was the general contractor on the project where we self-performed all concrete, steel, metal stud framing, drywall, and other carpentry activities. The major highlight of the project was the remodeling of the west end of the library to accommodate the new cafe, but other notable items include a new steel-framed ramp entrance and an exterior patio area.
