Woodruff Construction employee Grant Reimers has been promoted to the executive leadership role of Central Region President, centered on its office location in Ames. “Grant’s career path in our company was done with purpose,” said Don Woodruff, President of Woodruff Construction. “Exposing Grant to numerous situations and experiences from his summer superintendent internship, through our Project Management training to Regional Vice President to Regional Present. Grant has been mentored along the way by numerous people in our company.”
Reimers has been with the company since 2013 when he started as a field superintendent intern, and has played an essential role in several of Woodruff’s water, wastewater and heavy civil projects.
“It is an honor to be presented with the opportunity to lead the Central Region as president,” Reimers commented about his new role. “Woodruff has always provided a path for my career advancement and has been one of the things I have always valued highly. I look forward to the challenges and opportunities to serve the Central Region, as well as Woodruff Construction, in the coming years as I take on this new position.”
Reimers lives in Story City, Iowa with his wife, Amanda, and three kids Emerson (5), Ryland (3) and Ansley (9 months.) He graduated from Iowa State University in 2013 with a degree in construction engineering. Reimers is an active board member of the Story City Economic Development Corporation, and a Region 5 Director of IAWEA.
